Collecting data
Joripo Collect on Android, ODK Collect, web forms and device keys: installing, signing in, approving phones, working offline and sending.
Data reaches Joripo three ways: from Joripo Collect, Joripo's Android app; from ODK Collect; and from web forms filled in a browser. Every submission, whichever way it comes, lands on your server, is stored and indexed, and is checked as it arrives.
- Ways to collectChoosing between Joripo Collect, ODK Collect and web forms, and what happens to a submission when it arrives.
- Installing Joripo CollectWhere the app comes from, installing it on Android, updating it without losing anything, and how far each release has been tested.
- Signing in on Joripo CollectThe three things a data collector types, approving a new phone, keys per workspace, keys that expire when a phone stops checking in, and moving to a new server address.
- Filling, saving and sending on Joripo CollectGetting forms and updates, filling offline, drafts, finalizing, how forms are sent and retried, shared phones, and bringing in a phone's forms by file.
- Using ODK CollectConnecting ODK Collect to Joripo with a device key's QR code or with an email and password, and what ODK Collect cannot do here.
- Phones and device keysLooking after the field team's devices: approving, revoking a lost phone, replacements, phones shared between people, and old keys.
- Web formsCollecting in a browser from a link, signed in or anonymous, the workspace's on/off switch, and each form's web settings.
