Phones and device keys
Looking after the field team's devices: approving, revoking a lost phone, replacements, phones shared between people, and old keys.

Every phone that sends data is either a Joripo Collect device, signed in by a person, or holds a device key (for ODK Collect, or a Joripo Collect app set up without an account). Both are managed on Collect, in the workspace's field team, by owners and managers.
The list of phones
Joripo Collect devices lists each phone with its person, model, app version, status and when it was last seen. Approve, Reject and Revoke decide what it may do. With restricted workspaces on, a manager who is not an owner sees and decides on only the phones of people who collect in the workspace they are looking at.
Every decision on a phone or a key is recorded in the organisation's activity log.
A lost, stolen or retired phone
Revoke cuts a phone off. It is refused the next time it connects, even if it is offline today, and nothing it already sent is touched. A phone that is refused keeps its drafts and finalized forms, so nothing collected on it is lost if it comes back.
Even if nobody revokes it, a phone stops by itself 30 days after it last checked in. Deactivating a person revokes every phone of theirs at once.
A replacement phone
The new phone simply signs in, and is approved like any new phone. The server's maintainer can also mark a phone as replaced, so that the person's next phone is approved at once.
Several people, several phones
A person may use more than one phone, each its own device with its own keys; and several people may share one phone, each signing in in turn. Each person's forms are sent with their own key.
Device keys
A device key is a credential in a QR code, made with New device. It is not tied to a person: one key per phone, or one per team. It never expires, so each key shows its age; revoke keys you no longer use.
Keys named Joripo Collect · person · phone without a device beside them were given to the first release of Joripo Collect, before phones were tied to people. Revoke one once that phone has signed in again and appears under Joripo Collect devices; nothing revokes them automatically.
Signing a person out of every phone
When an owner sets a person a new password, they can also sign that person out of every phone: each phone's secret is replaced, and it comes back only by signing in again and being approved. This is the answer to an account you think someone else has used.
